Student leadership at The Coleshill School Sixth Form

Alongside our support for Coleshill students in getting the best grades possible we aim to put student leadership for all at the heart of their experience.

Leadership qualities can be developed and displayed in all sorts of ways.  We retain the traditional roles of Head Boy, Head Girl and a senior leadership team but we have a strong belief that leadership can be distributed and that all students can contribute to their personal development, their CV and the life of the school and community through a wide range of activities.

To this end we have developed the Coleshill Leadership Award and we expect all students to reach at least the bronze award.

Examples of leadership activities might include:

• Subject Assistant – helping younger students in class
• Coach or mentor to a younger student
• Community placement
• Duke of Edinburgh Award
• Student Committee
• Student Council
• Charity event coordinator
• Social secretary
• Summer ball organising team
• Assisting at school events
